PURPOSE: A data transmission device of a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to conveniently perform data between two portable terminals. CONSTITUTION: When a drag operation is generated from a first portable terminal to a second portable terminal(200), the first portable terminal transmits data to the second portable terminal by using time and movement speed of a drag operation. The second portable terminal receives data from the first portable terminal by using time and movement speed of the operation.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device for transmitting data of a mobile communication terminal is provided to operate in a general data transmission mode for transmitting general data and in an upgrade data transmission mode for transmitting mobile communication upgrading data, thereby performing both general data and upgrading data transmissions of the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A serial port(200) of a mobile communication terminal and a serial port(250) of a personal computer are physically connected in socket or plug type. The serial ports(200,250) support serial transmissions to peripheral devices one bit by one bit at a time. A level shift device(230) adjusts voltages of the personal computer and the mobile communication terminal during communication. A switch(240) of the level shift device(230) is operated by a user while performing data communication between the mobile communication terminal and the personal computer or while downloading an upgrade program of the mobile communication terminal. The user selects signals lines(221-225) of the mobile communication terminal or signal lines(231,232) by operating the switch(240).

본 개시에서는 전자장치를 이용하여 데이터 처리를 하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 다양한 실시 예들에 대하여 기술하였다. 본 개시의 한 실시 예에 따르면, 전자장치의 동작을 위한 동작 이벤트를 감지하는 동작, 상기 동작 이벤트에 반응하여 전자장치의 사용 제한 여부를 결정하기 위한 식별정보를 획득하는 동작, 미리 설정된 리스트로부터 상기 식별정보를 비교 판단하는 동작, 및 상기 식별정보가 상기 리스트에 포함된 정보인 경우 전자장치의 사용을 제한하는 동작을 포함할 수 있다. 본 개시는 상기한 한 실시 예를 기반으로 다양한 다른 실시 예들이 가능하다.

A method of selecting a subscriber identity module (SIM) in a portable terminal on which multiple SIMs are capable of being mounted, includes: a process of determining whether an application/service which is currently being executed is an application or a service for which security is previously set; and a process of selecting a SIM which is previously set for security use or a SIM which is set for general use according to a result of the determination, and performing communications.

PURPOSE: The abbreviated dialing method using symbols in a communication terminal having a touch pad is provided to embody an abbreviated dialing function with the input of symbols, without using a virtual key matrix. CONSTITUTION: A control part checks whether a symbol is inputted through a user input part of a touch pad(401). If the control part senses that a symbol is inputted, the control part compares whether the symbol inputted through the user input part is a previously registered abbreviated symbol(403). In case that there is a previously registered abbreviated symbol corresponding to the inputted symbol, the control part reads a phone number stored in the inputted abbreviated symbol from a phone book and carries out dialing(405). In case that there is no registered abbreviated symbol corresponding to the inputted symbol, the control part displays an error message on a display part of the touch pad(407) and initializes the input window of the user input part(409).

PURPOSE: A hands-free device for integrating homes/vehicles/portables in cellular phones is provided to charge with direct current(DC) or alternating current(AC) in every place and use a hands-free function, by integrating chargers for homes/vehicles and hands-free sets for mobile into one. CONSTITUTION: A hands-free device for integrating for homes/vehicles/portables in cellular phones, where chargers for homes/portables of cellular phones and hands-free sets of vehicles are integrated and a hands-free function is executed with a speaker and a microphone, comprises a charger with an adaptor(135), a regulator(150) and a charge driving circuit(155), an interface(151), a voice processor(120), and a controller(110). The adaptor(135) converts alternating current(AC) for home inputted via a power jack, into a direct voltage. The regulator(150) keeps a direct voltage inputted from cigar jack for vehicles to a fixed voltage. The charging driving circuit(155) converts the direct voltage inputted from the regulator into a charging voltage of cellular phones, to output to the cellular phones. The interface(151) is built in cellular phones by connecting to the charging voltage and cables for transmitting data. The voice processor(120) transmits voice data inputted through the interface to outside via the speaker, delivering the voice data to cellular phones via the interface. The controller(110) controls operations based on charging and the hands-free function.
