An ink-jet image forming device is provided to prevent ink and a cleaning solvent from mixing each other by removing the cleaning solvent permeated into a nozzle part immediately after ultrasonic wave cleaning. A suction unit(20) and a cleaning unit(10) are slidingly mounted at a side of a carriage shaft(2) and move as a single module by a moving unit(30). The moving unit has a carriage(35), the carriage shaft for guiding the movement of the carriage, and a carriage driving part for moving the carriage along the carriage shaft.

An ink-jet image forming apparatus is provided to circulate in between an ink tank and an ink head by operating a pump through a drive motor. An ink-jet image forming apparatus(1) comprises at least one pump(23), at least one pump operation unit(30), a drive motor such as a dead nozzle compensation motor(51) and a controller(60) for controlling the drive motor. The pump is installed on an ink cartridge(20), which is detachable to a body frame(10). The pump operation unit actuates the pump. If the drive motor rotates in a first direction, the pump operation unit is driven. If the drive motor rotates in a second direction, other parts of the image forming apparatus are driven.

PURPOSE: An array type printing head cleaning apparatus, a picture forming apparatus comprising the same, and a method for cleaning an array type printing head are provided to clean two printing head row using a cleaning unit capable of cleaning a printing head row. CONSTITUTION: An array type printing head cleaning apparatus comprises a cleaning carriage], a cleaning unit(110), and a cleaning unit moving device(140). The cleaning carriage moves straight. The cleaning unit cleans a printing head(31) while moving between a first location and a second location in the direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the cleaning carriage. The cleaning unit moving device is installed at the cleaning carriage and moves the cleaning unit to position the cleaning unit at one of the first location and the second location. The cleaning unit moving device comprises a rotating link and a bar link(160). The rotating link is connected to the cleaning unit. The bar link is connected to the rotating link to operate the rotating link.

A negative pressure regulator of an ink-jet printer is provided to guarantee reliability of operations by rapidly restoring a diaphragm by a restoring force of a spring. A negative pressure regulator(140) of an ink-jet printer includes upper, intermediate, and lower members(141,142,143) and a spring(146). The upper member has a space for a diaphragm(145). The diaphragm made of a flexible material is installed inside the space of the upper member. The intermediate member contains an ink storage groove(1422) and a connection groove(1425). The ink storage groove is recessed on the upper surface of the intermediate member. The connection groove penetrates through the intermediate member. The spring is interposed between the upper and intermediate members and supports the diaphragm. The lower member includes an ink inlet groove(1431) and an ink outlet(1433). The ink inlet groove is recessed to let ink flow in. The ink outlet is formed adjacent to the ink inlet groove, penetrates through the lower member, and is connected with the connection groove.

PURPOSE: A print head part cleaning device and method, and an image forming device with the same are provided to spray washing liquid to the print head part and to reduce hardened ink from a nozzle. CONSTITUTION: A print head part cleaning device comprises a spraying part(20), a cleaning shuttle(40), a shuttle drive part(50) and a controller(90). The spraying part sprays washing liquid with a sprayer. The cleaning shuttle transfers the spraying part. The spraying part comprises a washing liquid storage, a spraying cam and a cam drive part. The washing liquid storage stores the washing liquid. The spraying cam operates the sprayer. According to the movement of the cleaning shuttle, the cam drive part rotates the spraying cam.
