Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for displaying a roaming service in a mobile communication terminal is provided to accurately and easily inform a certain roaming service provider to a user by directly displaying a name or a sign of the roaming service provider. CONSTITUTION: A control unit scans a channel according to a channel scan list(100). The control unit judges whether a roaming service exists during the channel scan procedure(110). The control unit performs the location registration of a user and an initial authentication procedure of a visitor(120). The control unit retrieves an ID of a roaming service provider by a message of a base station received to a terminal(130). The control unit checks whether the retrieved ID exists in a service provider information table stored in a memory unit of the terminal(140). The control unit judges whether the checked ID exists in the service provider table(150). If the checked ID exists in the service provider table, the control unit displays a sign or a name of a roaming service provider corresponding to the ID stored in the service provider information table on a display unit(160).

Abstract: The user presses A key to confirm the received message. The microcomputer(10) in response to the input of A key, reads the message stored in RAM(12) and displays at the display part(16). When the user wants to protect the message, press B key. Then the microcomputer stores it in EEPROM(6) and the message(MSG3) is erased from the RAM(12). By handling B key, the user sets the received message to protected message and stores it in the non-volatile message and releases the protection of the message to erase.
