    Abstract: 본 발명은 토너 조성물 및 이를 이용한 토너의 제조방법을 개시한다. 상기 토너 조성물은 결합수지 형성용 모노머, 착색제, 안정제, 전하제어제, 윤활제 및 중합개시제를 포함하고 있는데, 상기 안정제가, pH 10∼14로 조절된 증류수에 소수성 실리카를 분산시킨 다음, pH 6∼8로 조절하여 얻어진 결과물인 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명의 토너 조성물을 이용하면, 전하량, 평균입경 및 입경분포 특성이 개선된 토너를 제조할 수 있다. 특히 상기 토너 조성물이 계면활성제를 포함하는 경우에는 착색제 및 전하제어제의 분산성이 매우 향상된 토너를 얻을 수 있으며, 이러한 토너를 이용하면 종래보다 개선된 화상 품질을 얻을 수 있다.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A polymerized dry toner for an electrophotograph is provided which freely controls the particle size of the toner and provides good quality of picture of materials to be transferred due to high uniformity of the particle size of the toner and does not influence on environment by using harmless hydrophobic silicic stabilizer. CONSTITUTION: The polymerized dry toner being used as transferring materials in an electrophotograph unit is prepared by polymerizing a monomer of thermoplastic resin with using a hydrophobic silicic compound of the formula (1) as a stabilizer. In the formula, each x, y and z is a positive integer, where (x+y) is at least 60% of the surface, and each R1 and R2 is independently selected from the group consisting of C1-C30 aliphatic compound, C1-C30 aliphatic compound having at least one substituents(G), C1-C30 hetero aliphatic compound, C1-C30 hetero aliphatic compound having at least one substituents(G), C1-C30 cyclo aliphatic compound, C1-C30 cyclo aliphatic compound having at least one substituents(G), C1-C30 hetero cyclo aliphatic compound, C1-C30 hetero cyclo aliphatic compound having at least one substituents(G), C1-C30 aromatic compound and C1-C30 aromatic compound having at least one substituents(G), where G is selected from the group consisting of amino group, amidino group, amine group, hydrazine group, hydrazone group, halide group, hydroxy group, nitro group, cyano group, thiocyano group, thiol group, carboxyl group, alkaline salt of carboxylic acid, sulfuric acid group, alkaline salt of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid group and alkaline salt of phosphoric acid.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a toner composition having improved dispersibility of a coloring agent and particle diameter characteristic. A method for preparing a toner by using the toner composition is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The toner composition comprises monomers for forming a binder resin, a coloring agent, a stabilizer, a charge controller, a lubricant and a polymerization initiator. The stabilizer is a product obtained by dispersing hydrophobic silica in distilled water having a pH controlled to 10-14 and then controlling the pH to 6-8. The toner composition further comprises an ionic surfactant. The mixing ratio of the monomers for forming a binder resin to silica on the basis of solid contents is 50:1 to 25:1.
