    Abstract: A display panel, a method for manufacturing the same, and a display device having the same are provided to improve the display quality of an image and simplify the manufacturing process, by using phase shift layers for differently shifting the phases of an inner light and an outer light. A lower substrate(510) has a first substrate(511) and a pixel electrode(513) formed on the first substrate. The pixel electrode has a transmission electrode(513a) for transmitting an inner light and a reflection electrode(513b) for reflecting an outer light. An upper substrate(520) has a second substrate(521) facing the first substrate and a common electrode(523) formed on the second substrate. A liquid crystal layer(530) is interposed between the lower substrate and the upper substrate. A first phase shift layer(524) and a second phase shift layer(525) are disposed between the first and second substrates, and shift the phases of the inner and outer lights differently from each other.

    Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to produce an electric field to a liquid crystal layer by applying the voltage to an electric field generation electrode, thereby determining the direction of liquid crystal particles and controlling the transmission ratio of the light beam passing through the liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes gate lines and data lines crossed with each other. The second substrate is located oppositely to the first substrate. A pair of electric field generating electrodes is formed on at least one of the first and second substrates. An alignment layer is formed on the electric field generating electrodes and includes the exposed first portion(21b) and the non-exposed second portion(21a). A liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and second substrates. A light interception member(220) is formed at the position corresponding to the first portion on the first or second substrate. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is connected with the gate line, data line and the electric field generating electrodes.
