Abstract: PURPOSE: A label search method and a device thereof are provided to search corresponding wind label by using a wine label image which is obtained through a camera which is included in a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A label database(50) includes a label and information about label. A character recognition(20) outputs an recognition result by recognizing an extracted character. A research unit(10) comprises a preparatory label candidate including detected label. An image comparison unit(30) comprises a final label candidate. The character recognition u nit includes a character area detecting module, a character division module, and a character recognition module.
