Abstract: A method for generating a tomography image and an apparatus for generating a tomography image determine at least one basic pattern of a spatial light modulator for modulating the phase of incident light according to a pixel arrangement pattern; perform spatial shift modulation for moving arrangement of pixels as many as the set number in a vertical or a horizontal direction with respect to the basic pattern; generate tomography images for the respective shift patterns of the basic pattern by using spectrum signals of rays collected from rays which penetrate through the spatial optical modulator and enter a target body; select one pattern for generating the clearest tomography image among the shift patterns of the basic pattern based on the generated tomography images; and generate the final tomography image on the target body by using the selected pattern. Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for generating tomography images having a modulation and calibration device and a method of operating the same. The tomography image-generating apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a light source unit to emit light used for irradiating a subject; an optical control unit to control the propagating direction of light; an optical coupler to divide/combine incident light; a plurality of optical systems optically connected to the optical coupler; and an optical modulation and calibration device used for the light irradiated to the subject. The modulation and calibration device can be provided between the optical control unit and the coupler. Also, the modulation and calibration device can be included in the optical system irradiating the subject among the plurality of optical systems.
