Abstract: A method for aligning carbon nanotubes in polymer fiber by an electrospinning process is provided to reduce the amount of unstable morphology such as spontaneous coagulation and warpage of carbon nanotubes. A method for aligning carbon nanotubes in polymer fiber by an electrospinning process includes a step of mixing a polymer solution with powdered carbon nanotubes, followed by performing electrospinning. The polymer solution contains a mixture of incompatible polymers and does not cause a phase separation phenomenon, wherein the incompatible polymers are immiscible with each other in a solid state. Domains of polymer fiber phase-separated by electrospinning are thicker than carbon nanotubes. Further, a length of the carbon nanotubes is 100nm to 10 mum and a diameter of the carbon nanotubes is 2 to 40 nm.
