    Abstract: PURPOSE: A detecting device of steady-state operation for a heat pump system and a detecting method are provided to detect steady-state operation of the system rapidly and accurately. CONSTITUTION: A detecting method of steady-state operation for a heat pump system is as follows. Operation state of each device comprising the heat pump system is detected through multiple sensors in a detecting part(S100). A microprocessor reads the value of user assignment parameters, used for standard elements of steady state operation decision logic, from a memory part(S110). The microprocessor deducts each second variable formula which represents the operating state of each device comprising the heat pump system based on the value of the user assignment parameter reading from the memory part and operating state information of each device detecting from the detecting part(S120). Value of the second variable formula for each device is calculated according to the formula(S130). The calculated value of the second variable formula is check whether the value is included within the predetermined reference range or not. If the second variable formula is included in the reference range, the system checks whether the specific second variable value is continuously maintained within the reference range for predetermined time or not(S140). If the specific second variable is continuously maintained for the predetermined time in the reference range, the device represented by the specific second variable is check whether the device is operated in the steady state or not.
