Abstract:
PURPOSE: Luminescent silica nanoparticles are provided to ensure excellent luminous efficiency since an Ir(III) complex compound is introduced and to prevent the reaction with oxygen. CONSTITUTION: Luminescent silica nanoparticles comprise organosilane, a silane compound of chemical formula 1 containing Ir(III), water, and a reaction product of a hydrolysis catalyst. A method for preparing the silane compound of chemical formula 1 comprises the steps of: reacting a compound of chemical formula 2 and a picolinic acid of chemical formula 3 to form a compound of chemical formula 4; performing allylation of a compound of chemical formula 4 to form a compound of chemical formula 5; and performing silylation of a compound of chemical formula 5 to form a compound of chemical formula 1.
