Abstract: PURPOSE: A high speed rotation rotor system for reducing manufacturing costs of a horizontal shaft wind power generator of a large size is provided to reduce the whole volume of blades and bending loads, also the system decreases a code length of rotor blades and high- solids. CONSTITUTION: A high speed rotation rotor system for reducing manufacturing costs of a horizontal shaft wind power generator of a large size uses a rotor applied to the design TSR which has the maximum efficiency, 11.5±0.5. In a rated wind speed of the rotor, the speed of an end part of blades comes under 130±10m / s range. As to the blades the high solid of the rotor comes under 0.029±0.008 range. A power generation capacity of the horizontal shaft wind power generator of a large size is 1.0~5.0MW and a radius of the rotor is 40~70m the horizontal shaft wind power generator of a large size comprises an asynchronous power generation method and a synchronous power generation method. According to rotor is the design TSR, the variable velocity rotor mode and the speed of rotation in which the speed of rotation of rotor changes according to the speed of wind constant. The rotor comprises a variable speed method of the rotor and an invariable speed method of the rotor. The variable speed method of the rotor is that a rotation speed of the rotor is changed according to the wind speed and the design TSR. The invariable speed method of the rotor satisfies the design TSR in a part of wind speed area.
