    Abstract: PURPOSE: A transformed zebrafish massively producing human lactoferrin is provided to cheaply produce human lactoferrin and use lactoferrin as food, health food, and animal feed additive. CONSTITUTION: A transformed zebrafish which massively produces human lactoferrin is produced by transforming with a recombinant expression vector containing a human lactoferrin gene. The transformation is performed at fertilized egg of one or two cells. The transformation is performed through microinjection, electroporation, particle bombardment, sperm-mediated gene transfer, viral infection, direct muscle injection, insulator, or transposon. A method for massively producing the human lactoferrin comprises: a step of preparing the recombinant expression vector; a step of transforming the expression vector into the zebrafish fertilized egg; a step of culturing the transformed zebrafish; and a step of isolating and purifying human lactoferrin from the transformed zebrafish.
