Abstract: 본 발명은 발광다이오드 유닛에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 발광다이오드 유닛은 적색 발광다이오드, 녹색 발광다이오드 및 청색 발광다이오드가 실장되는 기판부; 상기 청색 발광다이오드에 설치되며, 상기 청색 발광다이오드에서 방출되는 열을 회수하여 기전력을 얻는 발전부; 상기 적색 발광다이오드 및 상기 녹색 발광다이오드 중 적어도 하나에 설치되며, 상기 발전부에서 생산된 기전력을 받아 상기 적색 발광다이오드 및 상기 녹색 발광다이오드 중 적어도 하나를 냉각시키는 냉각부; 를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
본 발명에 의하면 온도변화에 민감하게 반응하지 않는 청색 발광다이오드를 통하여 확보한 기전력을 이용하여 적색 및 녹색 발광다이오드를 냉각하고 삼색 발광다이오드의 광도(intensity)를 일정하게 유지할 수 있도록 하는 발광다이오드 유닛이 제공된다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A light emitting diode unit is provided to improve the cooling efficiency by arranging a heat emitting plate to a cooling unit in order to widen a heat emitting area. CONSTITUTION: Either of a red light emitting diode(114) or a green light emitting diode(116), and a blue light emitting diode(112) are mounted on a substrate part(110). A generating part(120) obtains electromotive force by collecting wasted heat from the blue light emitting diode. The generating part includes a thermoelectric generator(121) and a wiring(132). A cooling part(140) cools either of the red light emitting diode or the green light emitting diode by obtaining the electromotive force from the generating part. The cooling part includes a thermoelectric cooler(141) and a wiring(153).
