    Abstract: PURPOSE: A diagnostic technique of initial caries by optical parameters is provided to discover disease conditions of various initial caries which is not discovered by existing research. CONSTITUTION: A diagnostic technique of initial caries by optical parameters quantitively monitors the index grade of the initial caries only with optical analysis by comparison of correlation between tooth surface hardness and optical characteristic. Vickers hardness is measured for the measurement of the tooth surface hardness.
