    Abstract: PURPOSE: A beam-column joint using a reinforcement with vertically bent ends for improvement of seismic performance is provided to improve the ductility of a reinforced concrete structure against a horizontal load such as a seismic load and to prevent damage to a beam-column joint. CONSTITUTION: A beam-column joint using a reinforcement with vertically bent ends for improvement of seismic performance is as follows. A reinforcement(200) whose ends are vertically bent is arranged to be buried in beams(20) on both sides thereof across the inside of a beam-column joint in the arrangement direction of the beams. Plastic hinges are created on the beams on the outer sides of both ends of the reinforcement when a seismic load is applied.
