Abstract:
PURPOSE: A cell-based olfactory sensor for increasing olfactory reaction and a method for increasing olfactory reaction using the same are provided to improve sensitivity on low olfactory reaction by increment in the olfactory reaction of olfactory cells. CONSTITUTION: A cell-based olfactory sensor for increasing olfactory reaction comprises an MEA(10), a wire portion(20), a chamber(30), an olfactory receptor protein expressed recombinant cell(40), a stimulation signal supplying unit(50), an output signal processing unit(60), a buffer(70), and a reference electrode(80). The wire portion is connected to the MEA. The chamber is formed in order to hold culture fluid for the cell culture on the substrate of the MEA. The cell is cultivated in the MEA within the chamber. The stimulation signal supplying unit applies sensitive signals to the cell cultivated in the MEA. The output signal processing unit outputs the variations of voltage at the cell cultivated in the MEA. The buffer is included within the chamber. The electrode is dipped in the buffer.
