    Abstract: PURPOSE: An algae controlling method using a light emitting diode is provided to control algae by activating the photosynthesis of the algae forming a red tide, or enabling the algae to exceed the malfunction of a photosynthesis system. CONSTITUTION: Algae is irradiated with light for 24 hours. The algae are dark-treated for 24 hours. The previous two steps are repeated for at least two times. Blue light in 12,000-64,000 lx is used. The blue light have a single wavelength of 400-500 nm.
