Abstract: PURPOSE: A wavelet image coding method is provided to code a wavelet sequence in a fixed order for increasing memory capacity, thereby effectively removing motion blurs. CONSTITUTION: A wavelet image coding method comprises the steps of: receiving inputs about the previous frame data in RGB signals; transforming the RGB signals to YCbCr signals; segmenting the YCbCr signals into multiple one-dimensional blocks; transforming the multiple one-dimensional blocks to wavelet coefficients through discrete wavelet transform; storing the wavelet coefficients in a buffer after merging the wavelet coefficients into one sequence; and coding the sequence into a bit stream by n-pixel.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An image processing method using a block based parallel process SPIHT(Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees) is provided to compressing an image by dividing a bit plane into blocks. CONSTITUTION: If 4X4 blocks are significant, the 4X4 blocks are divided into 4 2X2 blocks(3). If the 4X4 blocks are not significant in a previous bit plane and significant in a current plane, the significance of the 4X4 block is generated(5). The queue bit alignment bit(13) is outputted(7). An absolute value bit is outputted to the 2X2 blocks. If the pixel is significant in the current bit plane, a code bit is successively outputted(9).
