Abstract: PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal and a communication method thereof in a sensor network system based on IP are provided to make a communication between an IP service provider and the mobile terminal for an IP service. CONSTITUTION: An SIM(Subscriber ID Module) card(210) stores information about a user for data communications through cellular network. A nsor network smart chip(220) comprises a protocol stack operationally connected through a connection interface with the SIM card. The protocol stack comprises a higher layer according to the IP-based sensor network standard for the data communications through the sensor network of an IP(Internet Protocol) base. A wireless interface module is operationally connected to the SIM card and smart chip. The sensor network of the cellular network and IP-based and wireless communication is proceed.
