    Abstract: A method for preparing a surface-imprinted core/shell type polyacrylate microsphere used in the selective separation of heavy metal ions is provided to reduce the separation time of heavy metals and to improve economical efficiency by using no surfactant or stabilizer. A method for preparing a surface-imprinted core/shell type polyacrylate microsphere comprises the steps of reacting a molecule comprising a metal salt and a monomer to prepare a monomer containing a metal ion group; mixing the monomer containing a metal ion group, a crosslinking agent and an initiator in a solvent; dispersion polymerizing styrene to prepare a polystyrene bead as a core; adsorbing DBP to the polystyrene bead, and adsorbing the monomer containing a metal ion group to the polystyrene bead containing DBP to prepare a surface-imprinted core/shell type microsphere; and removing a metal from the microstructure.
