Abstract: PURPOSE: A wiener-ziv coding and decoding system and method thereof are provided to effectively select hash information which is used for generating auxiliary information and reduce noise added to the auxiliary information. CONSTITUTION: A decoding device(30) receives encoded key frames and parity bits. The decoding device restores the encoded key frames. The decoding device generates auxiliary information from the restored key frames. When generating the auxiliary information, the decoding device determines whether hash information needs for auxiliary information which noise is removed well. If the hash information is necessary, the decoding device requests the hash information to a coding device(10).

Abstract translation: 目的：提供一种维氏编码和解码系统及其方法，以有效地选择用于产生辅助信息并减少添加到辅助信息中的噪声的哈希信息。 构成：解码装置（30）接收编码的关键帧和奇偶校验位。 解码装置恢复编码的关键帧。 解码装置从恢复的关键帧生成辅助信息。 当生成辅助信息时，解码装置确定哈希信息是否需要辅助信息，该噪声被很好地去除。 如果需要散列信息，则解码装置向编码装置（10）请求散列信息。

Abstract: 본발명은와이너-지브(Wyner-Ziv) 부호화및 복호화시스템에있어서, 와이너-지브코딩방식에따라키 프레임들을부호화하여출력하고와이너-지브프레임들을복원하는데사용되는패리티비트들을생성하여출력하는부호화장치와, 상기부호화된키 프레임들과패리티비트들을수신하며, 상기부호화된키 프레임들을복원하고, 상기복원된키프레임들로부터보조정보를생성하는데, 보조정보생성시잡음이잘 제거된보조정보를위해해쉬정보가필요한지를판단하고, 해쉬정보가필요하면상기부호화장치로요청하는복호화장치를포함하고, 상기부호화장치는상기복호화장치로부터해쉬정보를요청받으면, 상기요청된해쉬정보를생성하여상기복호화장치로출력하는것을특징으로한다. 이에따라, 해쉬정보를선택적으로이용하여잡음이잘 제거된보조정보를생성함으로써, 부호화장치로부터전송되는패리티비트의양을줄여서복호화기의성능을향상시킬수 있다.
