Abstract: PURPOSE: Long phosphorescent phosphors are provided to ensure excellent afterglow, brightness, and color and to enable use as a car trunk lever, safety signboard, luminous paint, and light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing long phosphorescent alkaline earth metal-aluminate-based phosphor powder comprises the steps of: preparing a mixed metal compound aqueous solution including an alkaline earth metal compound, aluminum compound, europium compound as an activator, and dysprosium compound as a co-activator; adding a flux to the mixed metal compound aqueous solution; impregnating the mixed metal compound aqueous solution to which the flux is added in a polymer material, injecting the resultant in a heated furnace for quick calcinations, and after cooling the resultant, sintering the resultant at 1000°C-1300°C in a reducing atmosphere.
