    Abstract: PURPOSE: A GO-Gd-DTPA complex and a method for preparing the same are provided to easily and quickly obtain large amounts of GO-Gd-DTPA complex. CONSTITUTION: A GO-Gd-DTPA complex is formed by an ester bond of graphene oxide(GO) and Gd-DTPA(gadopentetic acid). A method for manufacturing the complex comprises: a step of dissolving Gd-DTPA and GO in an organic solvent; a step of treating DCC(dicyclohexylcarbodiimide) and DMAP(dimethylaminopyridine) to Gd-DTPA for esterification; a step of binding Gd-DTPA and graphene oxide in nitrogen gas; and a step of isolating a GO-Gd-DTPA complex using a filter. The organic solvent is DMF(dimethylformamide) or THF(tetrahydrofuran). An MRI contrast composition contains the GO-Gd-DTPA complex.
