    Abstract: A fowl cholera vaccine composition is provided to enhance immune responses against infection of Pasteurella multocida causing fowl cholera by using a recombinant outer membrane protein H of Pasteurella multocida. A gene(OmpH) encoding a recombinant outer membrane protein H(OmpH) of Pasteurella multocida A:3, wherein a gene encoding a leader protein is deleted(NCBI Genbank No. DQ054529), is isolated and sequenced. A fowl cholera vaccine composition comprises a recombinant outer membrane protein H(OmpH) of Pasteurella multocida A:3 expressed from a recombinant expression vector containing an operatively inserted OmpH gene(NCBI Genbank No. DQ054529) or pharmaceutically acceptable carriers.
