Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrophoretic display device and a method for manufacturing the same. The electrophoretic display device of the present invention normally shows a reflected color and becomes transparent when an electric field is applied. The electrophoretic display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a transparent lower electrode substrate; a partition wall formed on the lower electrode substrate along with periphery of the lower electrode substrate; a transparent upper electrode substrate located on the partition wall; and an electrophoretic dispersion liquid injected to a space between the lower electrode substrate and the upper electrode substrate enclosed by the partition wall, wherein the transparency is adjustable by applying a voltage to the electrodes.
