Abstract: PURPOSE: A media providing system and a method thereof are provided to supply frequency information to a user in real time by automatically checking a play section of media. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(220) of a media player(200) transceives section preference information about media. An information output unit(250) outputs the section preference information when a play unit(240) displays the media. An information extracting unit(230) extracts the section preference information according to a time event or a play control event generated by the play unit. An information providing unit(120) of a media supply server(100) provides the section preference information and the media to the media player. An information collecting unit(130) automatically collects the section preference information.
