    Abstract: PURPOSE: A tool for friction stir welding and a molding method thereof are provided to prevent the abrasion of a welding tool caused by chemical reaction to a work piece because the welding tool is made from silicon nitride sintered in a high-pressure gas atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: A tool for friction stir welding is manufactured by sintering silicon nitride powder, whose grain size is 0.3μm or less, in a high-pressure gas atmosphere. The welding tool comprises a tool body(10), a shoulder part(20) that is projected from both ends of the tool body and have a slope surface(22) inclined outward, and a fin part(30) that is projected from the center of the shoulder part to contact a welded part at the time of friction stirring.

The ceramic composition has much improved abrasion-resistance, corrosion-resistance and ion generation compared with W or Si-based ionizer emitter pin. CONSTITUTION: The electrical conductive ceramic composition comprises TiC as a main component, 20-80wt.% of Al2O3, 0.5-5wt.% of Y2O3, 0-4wt.% of Co and 0-4wt.% of Ni, or TiB2 as a main component, and 0-5wt.% of Fe, Ni, Cr and Co, each. The ionizer emitter pin with 2mm diameter and 19mm length has a relative sintering density more than 98% through conventional processes such as ball-milling, granulating, forming, calcining and sintering.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a production process of a ceramic pin for grafting which uses ceramics harmless to vegetation so that it reduces the destruction of vegetation tissue after grafting. CONSTITUTION: The production process of the ceramic pin for grafting is characterized by the steps of: (i) mixing alumina and zirconia-based powder in ethanol, crushing and drying; and (ii) adding polypropylene binder, polyethylene binder and paraffin wax, mixing and injection molding. The injection body is solvent-defatted in ethanol or water, defatted by hot air again and sintered to eliminate the binder added in injection molding.
