Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and system for transmitting data, and method and terminal apparatus for receiving data is provided to transmit a generated transmitting request based on a renewal program by allocating terminal intrinsic information to a receiving terminal and renewing a process content of the receiving terminal by the renewal program. CONSTITUTION: An IRD(integrated receiver decoder(8) receives a digital broadcasting signal transmitted from a communication satellite(9) through an antenna(10) of a receiving terminal device(2). The IRD(8) controls a front end, a demultiplexer, an MPEG(motion picture expert group)2 audio decoder, and an MPEG2 video decoder(16) and transmits the digital broadcasting signal received through the antenna(10) to the front end(13). The front end performs a QPSK(quadrature phase shift keying) demodulation process to the digital broadcasting signal and performs a data error collection to extract a transport stream and transmit the extracted transport stream to the demultiplexer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver and its selection method are provided to save the required selection time when a transmission channel is exchanged to select a program. CONSTITUTION: A first receive circuit(2) performs a receiving process in relation to the selection information and program information. A CPU(4) always extracts a parameter requested for program selection from various tables acquired by a first demultiplexer(DMX) in the first receive circuit, and generates the latest database. When a program selecting instruction is input to the CPU, a frequency(parameter A) of the transponder where the program is arranged is acquired from the latest program specific information(PBI) which is acquired by the first DMX, and is set at a second tuner. A video elementary stream(ES) of the program and a packet ID(parameter B, PID) of an audio ES are acquired by the latest PBI of the program. The PID is set at a descrambler and a second DMX. Thereby, the broadcasting receiver, its selection method and the data transmission method can be applied to a digital satellite broadcasting, a digital cable broadcasting, and a digital ground broadcasting.
