Abstract: PURPOSE: An edge illumination advertisement device is provided to control the on/off and dimming of each LED(light emitting diode) and to organize a control circuit using a micro controller. CONSTITUTION: An LED module unit(2a) properly mixes red, blue, and green LEDs. An LED variable color control unit(2b) controls the on/off and PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) of each LED by using a micro controller. An LED reflection plate unit(2c) emits various light colors by mixing the lights of the 3 main waves generated from the 3 primary colors LED through the LED control device. The emitted variable color lights from the reflection plate are bent on an advertisement characters engraved in a transparent material plate like an acrylic board. Thus, a display unit(2d) softly displays an advertisement. A light color over 24bit(16,777,216) is changed in a 10msec. Therefore, the edge illumination display unit softly displays the variable color lights and the effectiveness of decoration or advertising is maximized.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An illumination apparatus using optical fiber and its control system is provided to achieve a high efficiency of light emitting diodes, while reducing size and cost. CONSTITUTION: An illumination apparatus comprises a power supply unit(1) for supplying power to a micro controller(3); an input/output interface unit(2) for transmitting input signals inputted from a signal selection button or a color adjust button to the micro controller; an input current control circuit(4) for controlling the value of current determining the brightness of light emitting diodes(LED); an LED switching and pulse width modulation control unit(5) for determining the intensity and color of overall optical output by turning on/off the LEDs; an LED unit(6) constituted by R,G,B LEDs; and an over-voltage over-current protection circuit(7) for protecting LEDs.
