Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for extracting a feature vector for a user authentication are provided to obtain a feature vector which has reduced calculation amount than existing feature vector. CONSTITUTION: A static feature vector extractor(110) extracts the static feature vector by receiving an authentication data which expresses the biological specification of a user. A dynamic feature vector extractor(130) extracts a dynamic feature vector from a main feature vector. A final feature vector generating unit(140) compares the main feature vector which is composed of the main feature vector and the dynamic feature vector with a preregistered sample feature vector. The final feature vector outputs the authentication data in order to determine the authentication state of a user who inputs the authentication data.

Abstract: 사용자 인증을 위한 특징벡터 추출장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 정적 특징벡터 추출부는 사용자의 생체 특성을 나타내는 인증데이터를 입력받아 정적 특징벡터를 추출한다. 선형변환부는 정적 특징벡터의 차원을 감소시키는 선형변환에 의해 특징벡터 간의 상관성이 제거된 주성분 특징벡터를 생성한다. 동적 특징벡터 추출부는 주성분 특징벡터로부터 인증데이터의 순시정보인 동적 특징벡터를 추출한다. 최종 특징벡터 생성부는 주성분 특징벡터와 동적 특징벡터로 이루어진 최종 특징벡터를 사전에 저장된 견본 특징벡터와 비교하여 인증데이터를 입력한 사용자의 인증 여부를 결정하기 위해 출력한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 사용자가 입력한 인증데이터로부터 추출된 정적 특징벡터에 대해 주성분분석을 먼저 적용하고 이후에 동적 특징벡터를 추출함으로써, 주성분분석에 사용되는 공분산 행렬의 차원을 감소시켜 계산량을 줄일 수 있으며, 동적 특징벡터 추출시에 상관성이 제거되고 차원이 감소된 주성분 특징벡터로부터 순시정보를 추출할 수 있으므로 사용자 인증의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.
