Abstract: PURPOSE: A control method and an apparatus for a small PEM(proton exchange membrane) fuel cell without external humidifier are provided to improve excessive response of a fan through an inner loop and system efficiency and operating stability by reflecting steady state voltage and variation voltage to reference air flow rate. CONSTITUTION: A control method for a small PEM(proton exchange membrane) fuel cell without external humidifier: draws stoichiometric setting of the air for having proper moisture condition and air flux required for the reaction by a membrane electrode assembly inside a proton exchange fuel cell stack; or defines whole calorific value of the whole air-cooling type fuel cell stack, natural cooling amount, cooling amount by the reactant air, and forced cooling amount and draws the air flow required for the forced cooling.
