Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for detecting important information from a moving picture are provided to detect important image at a rapid speed by performing the process only for candidate regions. CONSTITUTION: First candidate regions which is estimated to include important information is detected from video frames(110). According to the location of the still edge information within the first candidate regions, a grouping operation is performed for the still edge information. Second candidate regions are determined(120) and analyzed(130). An important information region is detected from each video frame(140).

Abstract translation: 目的：提供一种用于从运动图像中检测重要信息的方法和装置，以通过仅对候选区域进行处理以快速检测重要图像。 构成：从视频帧（110）检测估计包含重要信息的第一候选区域。 根据第一候选区域内的静止边缘信息的位置，对静止边缘信息执行分组操作。 确定第二候选区域（120）并进行分析（130）。 从每个视频帧（140）检测重要信息区域。
