Abstract: TV 유휴대역을 이용한 통신 서비스 제공장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 이동통신망을 통해 사용자 단말로 통신 서비스를 제공하며, 사용자 단말이 TV 유휴대역을 통해 통신 서비스를 제공받도록 하는 이동통신 기지국에 구현된 통신 서비스 제공장치에 있어서, 위치 정보 획득부는 사용자 단말로 위치 정보 요청 메시지를 전송하여 사용자 단말의 현재 위치 정보를 획득한다. 무선국 정보 획득부는 복수의 유휴대역 무선국에 의한 TV 유휴대역의 사용 현황을 관리하는 유휴대역 서버로 현재 위치 정보를 전송하여 사용자 단말이 통신 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 유휴대역 무선국의 정보를 요청하고, 유휴대역 서버로부터 복수의 유휴대역 무선국 중에서 사용자 단말의 현재 위치 정보 및 TV 유휴대역의 사용 현황을 기초로 결정된 사용 가능한 유휴대역 무선국의 정보를 획득한다. 오프로드부는 사용 가능한 유휴대역 무선국의 정보를 사용자 단말로 전송하고, 사용 가능한 유휴대역 무선국으로 사용자 단말의 정보를 전송한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 이동통신 기지국에 의해 제공되는 통신 서비스를 DTV 수신기를 비롯한 보호되어야 할 방송 보조 서비스, 면허 무선 마이크 및 CATV 헤드엔드에 간섭을 발생시키지 않는 범위에서 TV 유휴대역을 통해 제공함으로써, 광대역 이동통신 네트워크의 데이터를 다른 통신망으로 분산시켜 안정적인 통신 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication apparatus operated in a dual band triple mode supporting a machine type communication (MTC) service operable in a TV white space area and a cellular frequency band, and an operation method thereof. To this end, the TV white space area and the cellular frequency band representing a dual band are supposed to be an operation frequency band considered in the present invention, and a PAN coordinator and an LTE-advanced base station TV band device (TVBD) essential for a triple mode operation are considered as elements. In addition, an MTC server concept is introduced for providing an individual MTC wireless device user with a smooth service and management. For accurate information provision for an MTC server, interoperability consideration between wireless devices, and an optimal service operation, the present invention has an interactive structure for an individual database (Hereinafter, DB) including a detailed service process structure and information on a service environment considered for each individual triple mode operation process.
