Abstract: PURPOSE: An expanded SNMP system for a digital convergence apparatus having a control function for supplying an abstracted interface by a CADM is provided to add a DDS(Device Driver Subsystem) for the control of various control devices. CONSTITUTION: An extended SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) system(100) includes an SNMP engine(110) and an SNMP application(120). The SNMP engine performs access control processing of a protocol. The SNMP application access MIB(Management Information Base). The SNMP application modifies actually managed information. A DDS(Device Driver Subsystem)(200) performs service abstracting and driver layering about the control device.
