Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a flexible self-expandable stent using shape memory alloy for expanding stenosal portions and method and apparatus for fabricating the same. The self-expandable stent using shape memory allow, comprises a first cylindrical stent member comprised of a first wire formed of super elastic shape memory alloy, the first wire being bent a large number of times while being extended upwardly and downwardly a large number of times, so the first wire forms a plurality of variable rhombic spaces by forming a plurality of intersections for causing the first wire to be intersected with itself to resist longitudinal constriction of the first cylindrical stent member and a plurality of interlocked points for causing the first wire to be interlocked with itself at spaced positions to allow longitudinal constriction of the first cylindrical stent member; and a second cylindrical stent member comprised of a second wire formed of super elastic shape memory alloy, the second wire being diagonally extended in parallel with the previously positioned first wire and passed alternately under and over the first wire so as to divide each of a plurality of rhombic spaces formed in the first cylindrical stent member into four equal parts, thereby preventing the first and second cylindrical stent members from being separated from each other.

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an expansion tool of variable condition maintaining type by using shape memory alloy and the expansion tool are provided to minimize the deformation of blood vessel and thus ensuring smooth circulation of blood by maintaining the original shape and curvature of the blood vessel around stenosis region of the human body to be expanded, regardless of the shape and length of the expansion tool. CONSTITUTION: In order to manufacture an expansion tool installed to a stenosis region of the human body for widening a passage of that region, the one ends of projection pines(120) are detachably fixed at all setting points as intersecting points between circumference dividing lines and length dividing lines of a cylindrical body having same diameter and length with the expansion tool, and the upper most projection pin assembled at the upper most end of the cylindrical body serves as a starting point along its advance direction. A first wire(10) advances up and down through the projection pins according to a predetermined bending course to define a variable diamond space in order to achieve a primary expansion tool(X). Then, a second wire(11) also advances up and down according to a predetermined bending course while passing the upper and lower ends of the first wire to divide the variable diamond space into four parts in order to achieve a secondary expansion tool(Y). The primary and secondary expansion tools are coupled to form a hollow cylindrical body(Z) that each components thereof are freely expandible and contractible, but they can't separated. Finally, the expansion tool is heated to memorize its original shape permanently.

PURPOSE: Provided is an artificial blood vessel instrument to fill up the extended part of a body such as a blood vessel, a gullet, a urethra by using a shape memory alloy. CONSTITUTION: The artificial blood vessel instrument comprises a super elastic shape memory alloy which forms a hollow cylindrical body(3) having a plurality of latticed spaces(2) formed by crossing and weaving the shape memory alloy, an inserting thread(12) which is inserted continuously in the spaces(2) form down to up and from up to down again in longitudinal and circumferential directions.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An expansion tool for an esophageal stricture region using a shape memory alloy is provided to prevent the permeation of cancer cells into the esophagus, and to continuously keep an installation condition thereof by preventing the sliding of the tool. CONSTITUTION: The expansion tool for an esophageal stricture region comprises a hollow cylindrical body(2) having a plurality of diamond shaped spaces(3) defined by weaving a shape memory alloy material; both expanded portions(5) having a diameter larger than a diameter of the body; a coating layer(7) applied to the whole surface of the tool; and a separate non-coated expansion tool(10') surrounding around the body in order to prevent the sliding of the tool. The separate non-coated expansion tool has a hollow cylindrical body(2') having a plurality of diamond-shaped spaces(3') defined by weaving a separate superelastic shape memory allow material.

본 발명은 신체의 협착부위를 확장시키기 위한 형상기억합금을 이용한 고탄성의 확장기구를 신체의 협착부위로 삽입하는 삽입장치에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명은 형상기억함금을 이용한 고탄성의 확장기구를 신체의 변병부위에 간단하고, 효과적으로 삽입, 설치하여 변병부위를 확장시키게하므로 한번의 시술로서 반영구적으로 사용할 수 있도록 하고자 하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기위해 본 발명에서는 일정한 직경을 가진 가요성의 중공체로 이루어진 외부튜브내에서 이동가능하게 내장 설치되는 가요성의 이동튜브의 양단에 삽입튜브와 가압철심을 서로 연결하여 일체화하고, 상기 가압철심의 타단에는 손잡이를 형성하여 작동몸체의 외부에 설치하며, 상기 삽입튜브의 일 끝단에는 단턱이 형성된 삽입단을 형성하며, 상기 삽입단의 단턱에서부터 상기한 확장기구의 길이보다 작은거리를 두고 삽입튜브상에 상기 이동튜브의 직경보다 큰 직경을 가진 가압편이 설치된 구조로 이루어진 본 발명의 확장기구 삽입장치를 제공하여 확장기구를 그 본래의 크기를 가진 형상으로 복귀하면서 병변부위를 바깥으로 밀어내어 확장하게 되는 확장기구 삽입장치를 제공하는데 그 특징이 있다.

본 발명은 형상기억합금을 이용하여 신체의 협착진행, 협착부위를 확장시키기 위한 확장기구의 제조방법과 이에 의해 제조한 확장기구에 관한 것으로, 종래에도 절개수술을 행하지 않고 대퇴동맥에 조그만 구멍을 뚫고 이 구멍을 통해 인체외부에서 혈관의 내부로 발룬 카데터튜브(Balloon Catheter Tube)를 혈관의 흡착진행 또는 협착부위에 삽입하여 발룬(Balloon)을 부풀려주는 혈관성형술을 이용하고는 있으나 이러한 혈관성형술은 통상 3∼4개월이 자니게되면 재협착이 발생하여 반복적으로 시행해야 하므로 환자에게 정기적인 고통은 물론이고 경제적부담을 재차 요구하는 단점이 있었다. 본 발명은 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 창출된 것으로, 초탄성 형상기억합금을 소재를 선택하여 서로 다른위치에서 교차시키면서 엮어 다수의 마름모형상의 공간부를 갖도록 일정한 길이를 갖는 중공(中空)식 원통형몸체를 구성하되 그 양끝단은 일정한 간격을 두고 다수개의 만곡형상을 갖도록 절곡한 확장기구를 제공하여 시술시에 상기 다수의 마름모형상의 공간부를 줄게하여 중공(中空)식 원통형몸체의 부피를 현격하게 줄어준 다음, 보조기구를 통해 병변부위에 설치하여 병변부위를 바깥방향으로 밀어내어 혈관등을 확장하게 하여 한번의 시술로서 반영구적으로 사용할 수 있도록 하는데 있다.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for insertion of a stenotic dilatation device using a shape memory alloy into a stenosed area of a human body to treat an occlusion or constriction, such as a stenosis in a blood vessel or other conduit in the body is provided which ensures easiness and perfection in operation. CONSTITUTION: A flexible moving tube(15) is connected to a distal end of a wire core(12), an insertion tube(20) is fixed to a distal end of the flexible moving tube, an insertion end(23) of a soft material in which a jaw(22) is integrally formed is fixed to a distal end of the insertion tube and a pressurized flap(21) having a diameter larger than that of the moving tube is constructed on the insertion tube at a distance smaller than the length of an extension device from the jaw of the insertion end.

PURPOSE: Provided are preparation method of expanding device for expanding stenosis part of human body by shape memory alloy and expanding device made by this method, which cures almost permanently the stenosis of the blood vessel, esophagus by cancer mass, biliary tract and urethra by expanding the narrowed part by the spherical empty net made by shape memory alloy unlike the balloon treatment which needs re-treatment. CONSTITUTION: The treatment device comprises: an empty cylindrical body(3) made of super tensile string of shape memory alloy material(1) with 0.1-0.5mm diameter by inter twining the string up and down, wherein the diameter of the above empty cylindrical body is 10-30% larger than the diameter of the stenosis vessel of human body to be treated; a diamond shape empty part and curvature shape inserting terminal(4) and discharging terminal(5) at both ends being shaped in one body with the above cylindrical body(3); welded both ends(6,7) of the shape memory alloy material(1) in the interior of the above empty cylindrical body(3). The empty cylindrical body(3) with different diameters is also made and the smaller one is inserted into the larger one and formed into one body.
