    Abstract: PURPOSE: An ultra fast carbon nano tube saturable absorber for a solid-state laser mode-locking is provided to operate a solid-state laser with the repetition rate of 89 megahertz when applying to a Yb: KLu(WO4)2 solid laser. CONSTITUTION: An ultra fast carbon nano tube saturable absorber for a solid-state laser mode-locking is manufactured by a step of forming a carbon nano tube solution by mixing a single-walled carbon nano tube(SWCNT) produced from an electric discharge to diclobenzene, a step of missing the carbon nano tube solution with polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) to produce a SWCNT/PMMA composite, and a step of forming a thin film with the SWCNT/PMMA composite by a spin coating method on a substrate.
