Abstract: PURPOSE: A positioning portable terminal and method thereof are provided to simply store safe routes and to establish the safe routes by tracing the location of a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(120) receives the location information of other portable terminal. A route establishment unit(161) establishes a safe route based on input signals in lattice map data and activates an application which traces the location of other portable terminal. A determination unit(162) determines the location information of the portable terminal for the safe route. An alarm unit(163) outputs alarm signals which inform breakaway from the safe route in case the location information is not included in the safe route. A storage unit(150) stores the safe route as latitude values and longitude values.
