Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a pillow filler which has effects of finger-pressure therapy and emits far infrared rays, thereby promoting health. Also, a method for producing such pillow filler is provided. CONSTITUTION: The pillow filler is obtained by carrying out steps of (i) cutting cocoons(1) to remove chrysalises; (ii) washing the cocoons with a mixture solution of vinegar and a neutral detergent in a ratio of 60:40 to 80:20; (iii) rapidly drying the washed cocoons in a high temperature dry furnace at 200 deg.C to 220 deg.C for 80 to 100 minutes; and (iv) packing the cocoons in a cloth(2) such as gauze. Before or after the drying step, the washed cocoons can be treated with a perfume. By the washing step, bacteria or germs in the cocoons can be removed and also the cocoons are hardened, which provide the finger-pressure therapy for the back of head and neck of a user.
