Abstract: The invention relates to a device (D) which is dedicated to controlling the implementation of functions linked with providing at least one communication service to at least one communication terminal (T1) in a service device (SA1) belonging to an Internet communication network core (CR). The inventive device (D) comprises control means (MC) which, upon receipt of a request for the provision of the service offered by the device (SA1) for a given communication, are responsible for: (i) deciding to implement at least one function selected from among the functions offered by the device (SA1); and, subsequently, (ii) inserting decision-signalling data into at least one of the signalling messages emitted by the device for the communication in question, which are intended for at least some other service devices (PS1, PS2, SA2, MR1) of the network core (CR), such that they can prohibit the implementation of the selected function for the length of the given communication.
