    Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition having excellent killing effect and antiinflammatory effect on mastitis-causing bacteria while effectively lowering somatic cell count in the milk of dairy cattle is provided. Therefore, the composition can be effectively used in increasing the quality of the milk while being useful for the prevention and treatment of mastitis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for lowering a somatic cell count in the milk of dairy cattle and prevention or treatment of mastitis thereof comprises 0.1 to 20% by weight of a mixture of chitosan-chitooligosaccharide in a ratio of 1:0.5 to 1:0.75, 0.1 to 10% by weight of bromelain, 0.01 to 10% by weight of Glycyrrhizae Radix as an active ingredient and additionally 0.5 to 30% by weight of zinc or a salt thereof and 10 to 60% by weight of fermented material. The fermented material is a culture of a microorganism selected from the group consisting of Aspergillus oryzae, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Bacillus subtilis.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing an Artemisia capillaris thunb. extract as an effective ingredient is provided. It shows excellent effects of promoting growth and growth hormone secretion and can be used a health supplementary food for promoting growth when coated to cereals. CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting growth and growth hormone secretion comprises 10 to 100% by weight of an Artemisia capillaris thunb. extract, 0 to 90% by weight of herbal plants and 5 to 50% by weight of a starch solution. The herbal plants are one or more components selected from Acanthopanacis Cortex, Acanthopanax Senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim.) Harms, Phlomis umbrosa Turez. Lycii Cortex Radicis, Carthami Flos, Eucommiae Cortex, Poria cocos, Cuscutae Semen, Ginseng Radix, Cervi cornu and calcium. The composition is coated to cereals selected from white rice, unpolished rice, barley, foxtail millet, sorghum or glutinous rice.
