Abstract: A detersive syst. comprises (a) detersive amt. of soil removing detergent, and (b) softening agent dispersed in (a). Cpd. (b) comprises (1) 25-95 vol.% of exterior organic phase contg. an organic meduum and 0.1-99 wt.% of organic soluble hardness ion complexing agent; (ii) 5-75 vol.% of inner acidic aq. phase dispersed within exterior organic solvent phase comprising water and 0.5-99 wt.% of acid w.r.t. aq. phase; and (iii) 0.1-50 wt.% of surfactant to stabilise dispersed aq. phase within organic phase.
