    Abstract: PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a direct call connection device is provided to carry out a direct call connection between mobile terminals located in a short range or in a shadow area, without the necessity of going through base stations. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal having a direct call connection device consists of a transmitting part(100), a mobile station modem(101), a duplexer(108), a receiving part(200), and a local part(300). The transmitting part(100) is composed of an IF(Intermediate Frequency) transmitter(102), a drive amplifier and up-converter(103), the first BPF(Band Pass Filter)(104), the second BPF(105), a power amplifier(106), and an isolator(107). The IF transmitter(102) converts a digital signal, generated from the mobile station modem(101), into an analog signal. The drive amplifier and up-converter(103) is composed of an up-converter to upconvert an IF signal into an RF(Radio Frequency) signal and a drive amplifier to execute an auxiliary function so that the power amplifier(105) can generate the maximum output. The first BPF(104) removes an undesired wave from a signal to transmit to a base station among the signals passed through the drive amplifier and up-converter(103). The second BPF(105) removes an undesired wave from a signal to transmit to a called mobile terminal among the signals passed through the drive amplifier and up-converter(103). The power amplifier(106) amplifies the signals passed through the first and second BPFs(104,105) at the maximum output. The isolator(107) prevents the transmitting signals outputted from the power amplifier(106) from being reflected by an antenna and damaging the power amplifier(106). The mobile station modem(101) makes a signal passed through either the first BPF(104) or the second BPF(105) according to a normal mode or a direct call connection mode. The duplexer(108) is configured so as to execute a function to separate the transmitting part(100) and the receiving part(200).
