Abstract: A Panduratin A isolated from the extract of Kaempferia pandurata or its derivative is provided to inhibit growth of bacteria including acne-causing bacteria in the skin without side effects, so that it is useful for treatment of acnes effectively. An antibacterial composition comprises a Panduratin A compound isolated from the extract of Kaempferia pandurata, represented by the formula(1) or the formula(2), or its derivative, and inhibits growth of Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus epidermis, Micrococcus luteus, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus warneri, Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Staphylococcus xylosus, Staphylococcus hominis and Staphylococcus saprophyticus, wherein the extract of Kaempferia pandurata is prepared by extracting Kaempferia pandurata with water or a C1-C6 organic solvent selected from alcohol, acetone, ether, benzene, chloroform, ethyl acetate, methylene chloride, hexane, cyclohexane and petroleum ether.

Abstract translation: 提供从山羊皮或其衍生物提取物中分离出的潘多汀A，以抑制细菌生长，包括皮肤中的痤疮细菌，无副作用，有效治疗痤疮。 抗菌组合物包含从由式（1）或式（2）表示的山羊皮提取物或其衍生物中分离出的潘多汀A化合物，抑制痤疮丙酸杆菌，表皮葡萄球菌，藤黄微球菌，金黄色葡萄球菌， 葡萄球菌，溶血葡萄球菌，葡萄球菌，腐生葡萄球菌和腐生葡萄球菌，其中通过用水或选自醇，丙酮，乙醚，苯，氯仿，乙酸乙酯的C1-C6有机溶剂萃取山楂提取物， ，二氯甲烷，己烷，环己烷和石油醚。
