    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for removing moisture from a camera for a vehicle are provided to ensure a visual field inside a vehicle and a rear visual field by efficiently removing moisture from a DVR camera and a rear monitor camera as well as a rear glass and side view mirrors. An apparatus for removing moisture from a camera for a vehicle comprises a switch(1), a battery, a first heating wire(30), a second heating wire(40) and third heating wires(50,60). The first heating wire is installed on the glass surface of a vehicle to remove moisture by using heat generated by first distribution current. The second heating wire is installed on the surface of a side view mirror to remove moisture by using heat generated by second distribution current. The third heating wires are installed on each lens surface of cameras for the vehicle to remove moisture by using heat generated by third distribution current. A relay(20) is connected between the heating wires and the battery to provide current to the heating wires according to input of a driving signal. A controller(10) detects input from the switch to output the driving signal to the relay.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for supporting safe driving are provided to help a driver easily aware the dead zone by selectively showing an image signal linked to a navigation system and recognizing the status around a vehicle with a sensor and a camera. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for supporting safe driving comprises an object detection part(120), a vehicle advancing sensor(110), an image signal generating unit(130), a controller(140), an image signal selector(160), and a review mirror direction adjustment part(150). The object detection part recognizes the presence of an object approaching a vehicle and creates a recognition signal from the recognized result. The vehicles advancing sensor creates an advancing signal representing the advancing direction of a vehicle by using the control signal from at least part block determining the advancing direction of a vehicle. The image signal creating unit creates an image signal exhibiting the status around a vehicle. The controller generates alarm signal conforming to the direction in which an obstacle approaching a vehicle by using the acknowledgement signal and the advancing direction signal. The image signal selector selects one or more image signals corresponding to the attention signal of the image signal which the image signal creating unit creates, and transmits at least one image signal selected among them into a navigation system. The rear view mirror direction adjustment part creates a control signal which adjusts the direction of a left and right review mirror of a vehicle.
