    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for continuously treating sludge cakes are provided to lower the moisture content of sludge cakes by destroying the surfaces of microorganisms in the sludge cakes based on ultrasonic wave.     Abstract: PURPOSE: A continuous sludge treating apparatus and a method for the same are provided to effectively eliminate moisture from the insides of microorganisms contained in sludge by rapidly destroying the microorganisms based no minimum energy. CONSTITUTION: Ultrasound wave generated from an ultrasound wave generator(30) is continuously applied to sludge in order to destroy microorganisms contained in the sludge. The sludge is continuously supplied through a treating water path(10). Moisture is dehydrated from the inside of the sludge. The cross section of the treating water path is circular, ellipse, or corner rounded polygon. Polymer coagulant is applied to the sludge after the ultrasound wave applied sludge.
