Abstract: PURPOSE: A solar cells having structure with a transparent conduction oxide layer/metal thin film and a method of fabricating the same are provided to increase light absorption efficiency by allowing the interface of a conductive layer to have periodical uneven pattern. CONSTITUTION: In a solar cells having structure with a transparent conduction oxide layer/metal thin film and a method of fabricating the same, a metal layer is provided on a substrate and has periodic uneven pattern. A transparent conductive oxide layer(130) is provided on the metal layer. The shape of an uneven pattern is controlled through the pitch and height thereof to suppress light absorption through surface plasmon resonance on the interface of the metal layer and the transparent conductive oxide layer A light absorption layer(140) is provided on the transparent conductive oxide layer. A buffer layer(150) is provided on the light absorption layer.
