Abstract: 본발명은우수한기계적물성을갖는고분자-클레이나노복합체의제조방법에관한것으로서, (1) 유기화층상클레이와무수말레산그래프트(graft)된폴리프로필렌을 10:90 내지 30:70의중량비로니더기또는압출기에서 1차적으로용융혼합한후, (2) 상기용융혼합물과폴리프로필렌을 10:90 내지 40:60의중량비로압출기에서 2차적으로용융혼합하는것을포함하는것을특징으로하며, 이러한본 발명의제법에의하면, 인장강도, 굴곡강도, 굴곡탄성률등의기계적물성, 분산성, 열적특성및 난연특성이우수한고분자-클레이나노복합체를보다용이하게제조할수 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of organically modified layered clay is provided to easily manufacture the organically modified layered clay for manufacturing a polymer-clay nanocomposite by improving the compatibility with a polymer. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of organically modified layered clay comprises the following steps: adding carbon dioxide and layered clay to a solution dissolved with an organic polymer or an oligomer, and dispersing the added material; adsorbing the organic polymer or the oligomer to the surface of the clay, by swelling the clay through changing the carbon dioxide into a supercritical fluid state; and interlayer exfoliating the clay by vaporizing the carbon dioxide.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a polymer-clay nanocomposite is provided to secure the excellent thermal property and flame resistant property of the nanocomposite by dispersing organically modified layered clay to a polypropylene polymer resin. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a polymer-clay nanocomposite comprises the following steps: firstly melt-mixing organic layered clay with maleic anhydride grafted propylene grafted in a weight ratio of 10:90~30:70, using a kneader or an extruder; and secondly melt-mixing the mixture with polypropylene in a weight ratio of 10:90~40:60, using the extruder, to disperse the organic layered clay to a polypropylene polymer resin. The organic layered clay has an impregnated organic compound.
