    Abstract: A graphite sheet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture a graphite sheet of a high thermal conductivity in a surface direction and in a thickness direction by mixing graphite of different expansion multiples together. A method for manufacturing a graphite sheet includes the steps of processing natural graphite with intercalate solution of which a concentration is controlled to be 20-80 times of an expansion multiple of expanded graphite, draining a surplus solution from the intercalate-processed natural graphite and washing the same, forming expanded graphite in the shape of worm by exposing the washed natural graphite to an increased temperature, wherein the graphite is expanded by 20-80 times of an original volume thereof, and forming a semi-anisotropic graphite sheet having a thermal anisotropic coefficient in the range from 3 to 20 by carrying out compression rolling molding for the expanded graphite.

    Abstract: A method for preparing a graphite composite fuel cell separator and a graphite composite fuel cell separator prepared by the method are provided to reduce compression molding time remarkably and to improve electrical conductivity and flexural strength. A graphite composite fuel cell separator is prepared by using a graphite composite material prepared by dry mixing 70-95 wt% of a natural graphite powder and 5-30 wt% of a thermosetting resin powder uniformly to make a mixing material for a fuel cell separator; variably filling the mixing material into a mold where a separator channel is carved and compression molding it at a room temperature to prepare a molded product having a density of 90-100 % corresponding to the theoretical density; and thermosetting the molded product at 100-200 deg.C for 10-100 min.
