Abstract: PURPOSE: A natural anti-herpes virus agent is provided to have excellent anti-herpes virus activity and to produce pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food compositions with safety and efficacy. CONSTITUTION: An anti-herpes virus agent contains one or more extracts prepared from ingredients selected among Agrimonia pilosa L., Allium thunbergii G. Don, Poria cocos, Acer tegmentosum Maxim., Paeonia suffruticosa Andr., Scutellariae radix, or Artemisia annua L. as active ingredients. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating herpes virus infectious diseases contains the anti-herpes virus agent as an active ingredient. A cosmetic composition for preventing and treating herpes virus infectious diseases contains the anti-herpes virus agent as an active ingredient.
