Abstract: 본 발명은 편광의 위상지연특성을 조절할 수 있는 고분자 분산형 액정 필름에 관한 것이다. 상기 고분자 분산형 액정 필름은, 일측면에 투명 전극이 형성되고 상기 투명 전극이 서로 대향되도록 배치된 2개의 투명 기판; 고분자와 액정이 사전에 설정된 조성 비율로 분산되어 있으며, 상기 투명 전극이 형성된 투명 기판의 사이에 형성된 고분자 분산형 액정층; 및 상기 고분자 분산형 액정층과 적어도 하나 이상의 투명 기판의 사이에 배치되어, 상기 고분자 분산형 액정층의 액정이 방향성을 가지고 배열되도록 하는 액정 배향막;을 구비하여, 입사된 편광의 위상 지연 특성을 조절할 수 있다. 상기 고분자 분산형 액정층을 구성하는 고분자 물질은 전체 중량의 40 ~ 80 중량 % 로 구성된다. 상기 투명 전극은 특정 영역만을 선택적으로 위상 지연을 조절할 수 있도록 패터닝된다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A polymer dispersed liquid crystal film having an adjustable phase retardation property is provided to change the phase of polarized light by electrically controlling the phase retardation property of the polymer dispersed liquid crystal film. CONSTITUTION: A transparent electrode (110) is formed on one surface of a transparent substrate (100). The transparent electrodes face each other. A polymer dispersed liquid crystal film (130) is formed between the transparent substrates having the transparent electrodes. The polymer and liquid crystal of the polymer dispersed liquid crystal film are dispersed with a predetermined rate. The polymer of the polymer dispersed liquid crystal film is a 40-80 weight% of the total weight. A liquid crystal alignment film (120) is arranged between the polymer dispersed liquid crystal film and the transparent substrate.
